The staff is all wonderful… like family. They go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay. It’s quiet, clean, and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and near the Malecon and excellent restaurants. I have been to 130 countries, and for the price, I have no complaints. Complimentary breakfast is quite good as well.
Staff very courteous with their cozumel jeep and beach adventure tips. The air conditioning is good and cable T.V. adequate. No problems with WiFi. Desk staff is excellent as are the housekeepers. Will definitely return.
Excellent service all around, from the front desk staff, housekeeping to the cooks. The hotel is a beautiful 3 star, beds comfy and rooms are modern. The wood and tile decor give it an antique feel. Anything we needed got taken care of swiftly, we stayed 6 nights.
The family that cooks breakfast is adorable and very hospitable and friendly. I asked for a recipe, and the next morning, Monica (the cook) had it written out for me. The very friendly, warm vibe all around from everyone in the hotel. Location is perfect as well, everything is walking distance and at arm’s length.
We booked Hotel Porto Allegro for a last minute trip to P.V. It’s everything we wanted or needed. Great location, quiet, very affordable, clean, safe, amazing beds, friendly and helpful staff, outstanding breakfast menu every morning. We didn’t use the hot tub but did enjoy the lounge chairs on the rooftop patio.
The hotel itself was disappointing from the reviews I read. It has been renovated, and the lobby is attractive. The front desk staff is okay, but nobody smiles or is welcoming. Why they have a whole workout room at street level is perplexing.. never saw anyone in it.
The elevator is just plain scary, and I and many others choose to walk rather than use it… it shakes and is super tiny. Our room looked out on a rooftop or storage or something. But we were not concerned about the view. We did love the little clothesline on the balcony to hang laundry, and no one had to see it. We would have liked to use the gallery but couldn’t. Overall, great stay.
